We’re pretty psyched about this, especially since it’s named after ROIR’s very own Jon Langford record!

GOLDBRICK Directed by Stephen Mazurek, Written by Loren Crawford, and starring Larry Yando.

Walk About Theater and Collaboraction are proud to present the world premiere of Goldbrick, the story of an unlikely Everyman’s attempt to live the American Dream as an immigrant in Chicago. A live band, two actors, and narrative video projections work to weave a fast-paced and darkly funny story of exploration and exploitation.

Featuring the music and lyrics of Welsh-born Chicagoan Jon Langford (of Mekons fame), Goldbrick presents the story of a remarkable flesh-and-blood-believable Everyman who must do all he can to survive, ultimately reaching crisis as he faces questions that haunt not only him, but all us, and that we as a nation can no longer afford to avoid.
